Pike of Blisco, Lake District

Updated: Aug 7, 2023

A beautiful circular walk passing Blea Tarn (a small lake) and climbing Pike of Blisco, whose summit offers sweeping panoramic views on a clear day. This walk was a trip down memory lane for me, as we used to stay in a hut near Blea Tarn on family holidays when I was little.

Alternative start point: Blea Tarn National Trust car park

Walking distance: 13.2 km (8.2 miles)

Cumulative elevation gain: ~900m

Highest point: Pike of Blisco (705m)

Other landmarks: Side Pike, Lingmore Fell, Blea Tarn

Difficulty: 4/5

Date walked: 16/09/22
